H. Manley Tinderstauf is a sycophant who seems certain he will land a position of high standing once he is free. He is the leader of the Chastity, a triumvirate bent on exploiting the Rites to gain status in the Commonwealth.
Biography[]
The offspring of a semi-famouse sap industralist, he was born into wealth and lived in the lap of luxury, never having to fend for his own. He was offered a cushy position that required little more than a silver tongue to convince the Commonwealth that he was keeping busy. He became good enough at doing nothing much that he started using his family's riches to raise his status. But one day, he attempted to pay off the wrong individual, who turned him in and had him sent downriver, where he now plots his glorious return.
