Lendel is one of the characters in the game Pyre. He first appears at the Ridge of Gol. He is the cold-mannered head of the exile triumvirate you encountered at the Ridge of Gol. He leads the Accusers and he harbors ill will for something he thinks you did.
Biography
He was a well-feared young Constable of the Peace, bent on always making sure his suspects were found guilty. Once, he took in a civilian on suspicion of theft of Commonwealth artifacts. The civilian was exiled when the artifacts were found in his home, but on further investigation, suspicions turned to Lendel. It turned out he planted the damning evidence, so he was exiled, in turn. In the Downside, he soon made contact with the Accusers, who needed another, and found in him a capable new leader.
Description
He is the leader of the Accusers, the very first triumvirate you face. He acts hostile towards the Nightwings and resents them for some unknown reason. If you fight them again later, you learn he bears an old grudge against the Nightwings and especially Ti'zo. It's implied that he faced Oralech in the Liberation Rites and lost, and Ti'zo was the one who scored the final blow extinguishing his Pyre.
If he is liberated, he is reinstalled as a Constable of the Peace, and opposes the revolution. In the most violent ending, he is killed by the Highwing Remnants. If he survives, he loses his position and eventually becomes a clerical worker.
If he is not liberated, he refuses to believe the Rites have ended and continue to wait for them. Eventually he becomes a Demon wandering the Downside.
Gameplay
Lendel is only playable in Versus Mode. For his masteries, see Nomads.
