Hedwyn is an exile and a member of the Nightwings triumvirate. He is one of the three masked wanderers who found you clinging to life in the Downside. He is shown to be the most personable of the three.
Masteries[]
Marks of the Master-General:
- Martial Training: +50% Stamina.
- Critical Strike: Increases range and width of Aura while Power-Casting.
- Shoulder Smash - If Hedwyn jumps into airborne adversaries, he banishes them.
- Burning Resolve: Recover up to 50% of damage dealt to enemy Pyre for your own.
Bonds of the Sahrian Legion:
- Shared Tenacity: You and allies regenerate Stamina twice as fast.
- Moon Formation: You and allies move more quickly with the Orb.
- Sacred Bond: You and your allies can instantly return banished allies by moving to where they were banished.
- Divine Retribution: Increases banished timer for adversaries by two seconds.

He wanders the Downside in search of a way to regain his freedom and return to his home.
Observations[]
He is the one who nursed you back from the brink after finding you in the Downside. His genial manner suggests that life in exile has not yet broken his spirit. He wears a bronze clasp identical to that of Jodariel, suggesting the two of them may have met before their exile. He has not yet revealed what he did to earn his sentence.
Biography[]
While serving on the Bloodborder, by chance he had a run-in with a lone enemy Harp. They each felt a powerful connection, and escaped together rather than fight each other to the death, as would have been expected. He lost contact with her after their encounter, and left his post in search of her. But, he was caught, and exiled. In the Downside, he found Jodariel, who looked after him when he was a child. In time, he caught wind of an unbelievable rumor, and first heard the name of Sandalwood...
Story[]
Hedwyn, along with Jodariel and Rukey, initially find the Reader. He insists on saving the Reader's life and brings them to safety. During the initiation rite in the Book of Rites, he promises to the Reader that they will all go free from the Downside one day.

If Hedwyn is liberated, he becomes an important figure to the revolution. If the revolution is violent, he leads the raid on the stronghold where the Archjustice is hiding, fighting alongside Fikani Shang.
If Hedwyn is not liberated, Fikani will cast herself to the Downside to reunite with him.
If his promise is broken and only some of the initial three Nightwings and the Reader are liberated, he will feel a terrible guilt for some time. If he and Jodariel are separated, they continue to correspond via messenger-imp.
