Almer Oldheart is one of the characters in the game Pyre. He is a member of the Fate, a triumvirate in purple. He is also known as Almer the Helpless.

Description[]
He is the dutiful foster-son of Dalbert Oldheart, and is very protective of him above all else.
Biography[]
Abandoned as a child, he was found by Dalbert and raised as his son, and taught both the ways of the Commonwealth's native folk and of the cur traditions. Though much more cautious than his father, he always loved his father deeply. So, when his father was being taken away for his blasphemous recognition of olden practices, Almer put up enough of a fight to where he ended up sharing his father's fate. In exile, they have remained inseparable.
Story[]
If the Fate succeeds in a Liberation Rite, Dalbert will give up his Liberation and give it to Almer. Almer disagrees, but can't actually do anything to change it. In the Commonwealth he becomes reclusive, mourning for his father. However, on the night of the revolution, he becomes inspired by what he sees and joins the marching or battle. Afterwards, he becomes a historian and curator of cur culture.
If he is not liberated, he stays with Dalbert until he passes away in old age, and takes a pilgrimage to the Scribes per Dalbert's wishes.
If he is not separated with the Moontouch Girl, they reunite and become close.
